Louis Laurent Saha, born Paris, France, August 8,1978. A Paris native, Louis Saha started his professional career at French First Division team Metz where he registered five goals in 47 League One appearances for The Maroons. In the summer of 2000, the young and talented forward eventually decided to join ambitious Fulham whom he helped win promotion to the FA Carling Premiership the following year.
Sufficiently impressed with his performances for The Cottagers, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson bought Louis Saha for an estimated transfer fee of £12.4 million midway through the 2003–04 season. While at Old Trafford, the Frenchman won the League Cup in 2005-06, the Premier League in 2006-07 and 2007-08, as well as the UEFA Champions League in 2008. After contributing 28 Premier League goals during 86 appearances for Manchester United, the injury prone player left The Reds for fellow Premiership club Everton at the beginning of the 2008-09 campaign. Following 27 goals in 97 Premier League matches for The Toffeemen, he moved on to Tottenham Hotspur and then Sunderland before he finished off his footballing days with Italian Serie A club Lazio at the end of the 2012-13 season. A French international, Saha played for the country of his birth on 25 occasions between 2004 and 2006, accumulating four hits during the process.
