Paul Andrew Parker, born London, England, April 4, 1964. Paul Parker initiated his career with Fulham before he teamed up with Queens Park Rangers at the start of the 1987–88 campaign. He instantly settled at Loftus Road and made his Football League debut for The Hoops in a 3–0 victory over West Ham United at Boleyn Ground on the 15th of August 1987.
Paul Parker was far more cultured in possession of the ball than most defenders of his day, and he soon managed to establish himself at Queens Park Rangers where he would go on to make well over 100 Football League appearances between 1987 and 1991. Eventually, the talented youngster was transferred to Manchester United for an estimated fee of £2 million during the summer of 1991, and made his First Division debut for his new club in a 2–0 win over Notts County at Old Trafford on the opening day of the 1991–92 campaign. As a Manchester United player, the specialist right fullback won the Premier League title twice, the FA Cup once and the League Cup once. When Parker left United at the end of the 1995–1996 season, the East Londoner joined newly promoted Premiership side Derby County in a free transfer deal before the dedicated and hard working player had spells at Sheffield United and Fulham. The defender then signed for Chelsea, but he only managed to play a mere four Premier League matches for The Blues while at Stamford Bridge. After leaving Chelsea, Paul Parker went on to play for Non-League clubs Heybridge Swifts and Farnborough Town, before he decided to finish off his playing career in 2001. A hugely popular and well respected footballer in his day, the affable fullback also managed to win a total of 19 senior caps for England between 1989 and 1994.
